About Us

Mountain River Trails began late in 1969 and became a park in 1970. It was created as a place families could use for recreational camping, and as a place for social gathering. Each purchased membership is permanently tied to a specific site that members use. Camping may consist of throwing a sleeping bag on the ground, putting up a tent, or even pulling in a licensed travel trailer or RV.

Though there are not septic dumps at each site, there are 3 different stations throughout the park for emptying blackwater and graywater tanks. There is no electricity at any site, but a generator may be used in accordance with the bylaws and restriction of facilities of the association.  Our annual dues are currently $650 a year per membership, and are due by the end of February each year.

Other amenities include:

  • Private gated community to restrict access to members only and their guests

  • 7 bathroom facilities (closed during the winter months) spread evenly throughout the park that have sinks, toilets, and hot showers

  • A clubhouse with bathrooms, laundry facilities, game room, media room, and library

  • A lake approximately 3 acres in size that gets stocked with trout each year

  • A large field with a baseball backstop

  • A small basketball court, and playground area for the kids are located up front behind the clubhouse

  • Bagged ice and propane fills are available for a fee to members

  • Close drive to shopping for supplies in downtown Cle Elum

There are Booster Club events that go on throughout the summertime such as a fishing derby, children play day and craft days, 4th of July parade, and many others!

There are bylaws and restriction of facility rules to make camping and social gatherings safe for everyone. There is a semi-annual meeting in April and an annual meeting in July, at which time members will vote on member submitted proposals or new bylaws.

Most importantly, it is a place where you can come and relax from your everyday busy schedules. Its location is very central in Washington, just 30 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass, all nestled in a rural setting and surrounded by 66 acres of outdoor camping and family fun.
